How to Wear Your Summer Clothes in Winter
I’ve been browsing the net the last couple of days and noticed that many girls and women tend to buy so many cute dresses and tank tops (I don’t blame them, summer clothing it cheap and fun), but don’t always get the time to wear them all. They probably emptied their whole bank account splurging on a bunch of gorgeous sandals, shorts and tank tops, without really thinking how long summer would last.
And then they realize that they bought too many summer clothes and come to the forums and blogs and ask: “I have lots of gorgeous summer clothes that I didn’t get to wear. I don’t want to splurge on a whole new winter wardrobe when I have other cute clothes to wear. How can I wear them for winter?”
The key to wearing your summer clothes is to add hosiery, sweaters and winter accessories to make it look like you’re layering up instead of trying to flash your skin in the cold.
Hosiery: Denim and other spandex leggings, opaque tights, wool tights, thigh and knee high socks, sheer pantyhose

Layers of sweaters: Basic v-neck and scoop neck pullover sweaters, knit vests and cardigans
Other winter accessories: Scarves, hats and boots

These are pieces can be worn with the rest of your wardrobe, and combined into multiple of outfits. Plus, they’re inexpensive and can naturally be worn several years in a row (I usually keep a pair of quality leather boots for at least 3 years or more). They’re pretty basic so if you already have them lying around in your house then you don’t need to spend another penny
however it’s always nice to purchase a couple of trendy clothes and accessories every season to stay up-to-date (like for example a funky cardigan with zipper details).
Now let me show you have you can use them to update your summer outfits:

Adding a cardigan vest, leggings, leather boots and a hat make it possible for you to wear your favorite floral dress in the colder winter months without looking outdated.

You can also update the look of denim shorts with a turtleneck sweater, tights, boots and a wool scarf. Very chic in the city. You can also swap the tights with sheer pantyhose and add a pair of black knee/thigh high socks for a trendy layering look.
Look 3#
Summer tops are easiest to update with your regular jeans, basic cardigan and boots. Add a waist belt for the last finishing touch!

These are great tips too for all the spring merchandise coming into the stores now as we are getting snow storms in Canada.
You can wear all that fun warmer weather clothing even though it isn't warm out (quite the opposite)
